More tips about Facebook’s new Insights

As I reported last week (see my post, here), Facebook have revamped their built-in analytics tool with some additional functions that should make it easier for us all to understand how our postings are having an impact.

There’s plenty of advice floating around the blogosphere, aiming to help make sense of the new Insights tool, so I thought it might be a good idea to point you in the direction of some tips and guides. So here you go:

The nonprofitfacebookguy has posted several videos which tell you more about the new tool. Firstly, there’s the video showing how to make sense out of the new Insights reports. Here’s the link. Then there’s the one showing you more about the ‘Talking About’ feature – go here for the link. Finally there’s his video about understanding the ‘Reach’ metrics: here you go.

All Facebook ride to the rescue again with a really helpful post which compares the old metrics with the new ones. All good stuff, and it’s here. They also want you to know how to see the negative reactions to your FB postings: which you can find here.

Less of a ‘how to’ and more of a ‘what does it mean’ article comes from Mashable – this discusses what the Insights can tell page owners about how their postings are being spread through the networks and relationships within Facebook, and what this might mean for your choice of content. Read all about it, here.
