3 useful ‘how to’ guides and 1 list of resources

Here’s a few useful guides to doing clever stuff on social media which have come my way:

1. Twitter
I didn’t realise that you can actually change your twitter username but if that’s something that you do need to do, then read this handy guide from Mashable which tells you how it works: How to change your Twitter handle.

2. Facebook
If you want a closer integration between your fundraising efforts using JustGiving and your FB page, then this really useful guide is for you. Thanks to Podnosh for the info: Just “social” Giving – Adding your Just Giving app to Facebook.

3. Google+
For those of us still unsure about G+, Google have put together some community guides which show how other organisations (including educational and charities) are using the newest social network. This link comes to us thanks to The Wall Blog: Google offers help and highlights how people are connecting on Google+ and you can jump straight to the community guides here.

Lastly, if you are thinking of putting some video into your website you may be baulking at the thought of forking out to a production company. Can’t you do this yourself, you ask? Well, maybe, so why not check out this list of free apps for making videos (thanks to Paul Webster for this link): 10 Free Apps for Working with Video.
